SPIROGRAPH
After taking a look at Richard Sarson's (www.richardsarson.com) work with spirograph-esque forms, I started to think of the ideas of revolving around form and repetition in form. In traditional spirograph drawings (toy kit versions), a single line in a revolving pattern creates the pattern. In Sarson's illustrations, each circle in the pattern is drawn as an independently closed circle but when they are overlayed, they form a mass graphic. This idea of multiple elements in one graphic seems to lend nicely to my concept. The idea of streamlining aesthetic into cohesion.
