I've done a bit of soul searching in terms of my grad project, over the weekend. After the first Core Studio class I think that I felt I had to quickly pick something different from what I had been thinking about during the summer because I felt that some of my earlier ideas did not hold much conceptual weight. After wrestling through two different concepts I have firmly decided to go back to what I had my mind and heart set on during the summer. I have already posted these early ideas on this blog.
One of the main reasons why I decided to veer away from rebranding my company as a grad project was because I thought it was too simple a concept and that the design problems and challenges were very basic. So originally I decided it was just going to be a back-burner project while I worked on something more conceptual for school.
While thinking through how I want to re-work my brand, I realized that there are definite design challenges I need to work through. I realized that I have also been informally starting my research for developing my brand through out the past year already. A light bulb went off and I realized that if I used this re-branding as my grad project, I would have a lot to work with and I would also be a lot more passionate about the process.
So, I'm back to square one but raring to go at a quicker pace.
