RANT

While drumming up all these different ideas for grad projects, I've realized more and more that the topic I choose for this project has to be something that will be fun to work with. That also seems to be the advice I get from every past grad. I want to make something interesting, fun and beautiful. I know i will surely die if this process does not have some element of fun in it for me.

When I think about the element of fun that must be present in this project it doesn't come to me in the form of content. I don't think that looking to discover fun through ideas of recreation but fun through generating aesthetic. So I know that I am thinking along the lines of simple generative design. Now since I am not a genius hand-coder from MIT I have to think about visuals and visual space and how we form preference and organize visual space. Is this interesting?

Perhaps organization and visual organization is the direction I need to move in. In actuality I LOVE organizing. I find developing my own methodologies a great source of OCD fun. (embarrassingly enough, I have put out hints to everyone that I want a digital label maker for x-mas this year.)
